Changing Tides Foundation?”

One of the best ways you can is by becoming a Member. Your contribution keeps our mission alive and thriving because we can’t do it alone. By becoming a member, you become a part of our strong community of like minded individuals and brands who care about our world and the environment. There are two tiers to the membership: Tide Shifter and Tide Changer, each comes with its own perks and exclusive access to events and IRL experiences as well as a host of discounts from some rad mission-driven brands that we align with. But don’t take it from us, our members can share their experience with you:

Kat Wacker, a current member, has renewed her membership this year because she is excited about the work of CTF. She considers her membership to be “a force multiplier.” She finds that alone we can only achieve so much, but together, we can help people do “easy everyday things to be part of preserving and protecting the earth.” In her opinion, the perks and discounts are a fun add on, but the idea that her contribution can make the world a better place is the best motivation for her to continue being a CTF member.

Your membership fee grants us the ability to run Women’s Outreach Mentorship Program (WOMP), Plant-Based March, Plastic Swear Jar Challenge, and our community based events like beach clean ups, clothing swaps, workshops, film screenings and more. 

Our signature program, WOMP, brings women and girls in the community together to bring diversity to the surf line up and create a safe space for the girls to connect and grow. A participant of WOMP shared that she learned that “there’s a lot of people going through some of the same things that you are and you don’t have to feel alone.” WOMP helps to break down barriers and restore care, kindness, and a love of the ocean in its participants. As a mentor states, WOMP brings “more women [to] the water and enjoying the beach” in an effort to “get more people taking care of the places where we play.” Through WOMP, more girls learn more about themselves, others, and the planet, so that they have the confidence to become change makers for themselves and their community.
